PostHeaderIcon Is it a good idea to learn French and Italian at the same time?

I am currently learning French from Rosetta Stone and plan on taking a summer class. However, I just found out that I will be traveling to Italy in a few months, so I want to have a basic understanding of Italian by the time I leave for my trip. Since French and Italian are both romance languages that are somewhat similar, will I confuse the two? Should I stop learning French to focus on Italian?

PostHeaderIcon Would it be difficult to learn French and German at the same time?

I have rosetta stone for both, taking them both in school next year, and a wealth of knowledge on the internet and at the library. They’re both different types French (Romantic) and German (Germanic), so I don’t think I would get them confused, right? I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be too bad to learn them at the same time, what do you think? If you know from experience that would be even better :)

PostHeaderIcon Would it be possible for me to learn French AND Spanish at the same time? Tips?

I know it’s POSSIBLE, but I want to know how easy it is!
I am moving to Barcelona in Fall, so I want to be able to speak Spanish to communicate with others, but I have been learning French for the past year and would like to continue to study it.

What are some tips on maintaining it? Have you ever done this?

Thanks so much!

PostHeaderIcon Any websites or books that can help me learn French in a short period of time?

Im looking to become bilingual. I stopped taking french in grade 10 in highschool, and now that im out, I’d like to find ways to learn how to speak french. It can benefit me so many ways, but for now, it would be great for me as an asset I can use for a job.

Does anyone know of any free online courses, or books and/or websites to help me learn some french?

Thanks!!
