Is CDs or books are good methods of learning french or is it just a big waste of money .. ?

I am not going to any french classes or having a tutor. I plan to learn french by self teaching with books, internet, and internet youtube videos….

I want to learn fluent french atleast in two years. Possible or no? Is it easy to speak french when you already know english?

btw, will it be easy to learn german as well IF im fluent in french? are the grammers similar or anything?

I know how to speak English and Spanish fluently.I really want to learn French before or by the end of this year.I know that having Spanish as my first language relly gives me an advantage to learning another latin based language(French) so I have the gramar in control and the way the scentences are set.All I need to do is memorize the Frenc hwords and pronounciations.What do you suggest?

 

When I decided to learn French I decided to hire a private tutor. The cost of private tutor in my area was very high. I have taken class for four months but I felt like I wasn’t close to having the basic knowledge of the French. I decided to stop the classes because it was getting very expensive and I was unable to learn from the tutor’s method. Private tutors are only seemed to care about money. what is the best way to really pick up french, besides being surrounded by the language everyday?
im taking classes at school etc, but would you say writing out french sentances/words, speaking it whenever possible etc?
