why is it easier for me to learn Russian, Mandarin, or Farsi then it is to learn French, Spanish and Italian?
I am having difficulty with French in College. Yet i am learning Russian, Mandarin and Farsi easily from language exchange partners. I come from an English speaking family. I listen to music on youtube in Russian, Farsi and Turkish. I watch Movies in Mandarin, Japanese, and Hindi. I am currently an A student in French.

Is Spanish easier to learn than French for an English-speaker?
I attempted to learn French and I was okay at it. I could easily spell and pronounce what I was saying. But I heard Spanish was easier. And I have more interest in that so I really wanna try and learn it. So, how’s Spanish easy for an English-speaker, like me? And how is it (If it even is) easier to learn Spanish than French for English-speaker? Maybe I should start out with Spanish first?

I’m almost done with my third year of Spanish in high school. I know a lot of it and I’ve even gone to Spain for a few weeks to study it. I want to learn French too. Will knowing a lot of Spanish make French easier?
