PostHeaderIcon How can I learn the French language?

I am a senior in high school and took Spanish my first three years. I wish I had taken French, but now it is too late for me to take any classes. How else can I go about learning this language? Do CDs really work? Are there books? Language classes at certain places?
Thank you.

PostHeaderIcon A Review of Rocket French Language Learning Software

Rocket French is easily one of the best French language learning programs you can buy.  It’s not only a very comprehensive, thorough, and well-organized teaching tool, but it also costs much less than any of the comparable language products on the market.  In this Rocket French review, I’ll be going over a number of the benefits and various features of the program.

Rocket French provides a rather impressive amount of learning materials.  These include a good 110+ hours of audio lessons (with written transcripts of each), and a variety of online activities that prove to be very effective teaching tools.  Each and every one of these materials can be easily downloaded online, which is quite convenient (plus the download version is cheaper than the shipped version).

You can also bring the materials wherever you go – the fully downloadable materials are easily transportable by laptop, and all the transcripts can be printed at your convenience.  The audio lessons can also pop right onto your iPod for a complete portable learning experience.

With Rocket French, you start off learning the words and phrases essential to basic conversations, such as when you’re introducing yourself to someone, or giving someone the time.  As you continue your studies, you dig deeper into the type of language you’ll need in order to navigate your way through any number of everyday situations in France – everything from asking directions to even flirting in French!

The French language learning activities you get with Rocket French include 3 in-depth word games.  These games, centered around vocabulary words, pronunciation, and verb usage, are a lot of fun and really do the trick to help boost your learning.  They are tailored to help you out as you progress, which gives them nearly unlimited replay value.

Considering the wealth of materials you get, Rocket French is amazingly inexpensive.  You will find it exponentially cheaper than taking a school course or hiring a private tutor, and you’ll have the added benefit of being able to refer to the course materials throughout your lifetime.

If you ever have a question about the software, or your French studies, you can make a post anytime in the Members Only forum on Rocket French’s website.  You can even get help from the creator herself, Marie-Claire Rivière, who thoughtfully responds to concerns and questions via email.

No matter where you’re at with your French studies – whether you’re just starting out or re-familiarizing yourself with the language you learned years ago – Rocket French will help you learn the language smartly and efficiently.  There’s certainly no reason not to give their 6-day free trial a shot!

Hope you found some useful info in this Rocket French review.  If you’re interested, you can click here to learn more about what to look for in various types of French learning software!
